Hosting and access logs
Cloudflare: meinfinanzverwalter.de
The website meinfinanzverwalter.de is hosted using Cloudflare Pages and the delivery network of Cloudflare, Inc., USA. Cloudflare processes technical request data, including IP address, requested URL, time and browser-supplied information, to deliver content and protect against attacks and abuse. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and reliable website delivery.
Processing outside the EU or EEA, particularly in the USA, is possible. Cloudflare describes its contractual data protection terms and international transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum, including the standard contractual clauses specified there. See also the Cloudflare privacy policy. Technical data are processed according to the service used and necessary operational and security purposes; the eight-week IONOS period below does not apply to Cloudflare.
IONOS: wernerr.de, downloads and email
Hosting for wernerr.de, the download files stored there and email are provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Requests may include your IP address, request time, requested page or file, HTTP status, transfer size, browser, operating system and referrer information. These data enable delivery, troubleshooting and protection against abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, with reliable and secure operation as the legitimate interest.
According to the IONOS log-file guidance, webspace access logs for our older hosting contract are retained for no more than eight weeks, and visitor IP addresses in those logs are anonymised by IONOS. IP addresses are processed to deliver the requested pages.
Aggregated operational and traffic statistics may also be generated to operate and improve the website, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are not used for individual advertising profiles. Relevant extracts may be kept to investigate specific security incidents or defend legal claims. See the IONOS privacy information.
Enquiries, support and feedback
We process your sender address, name if provided, message and attachments to handle your request. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to contractual and pre-contractual enquiries; Article 6(1)(f) applies to other enquiries, based on our legitimate interest in answering them. Please avoid sending passwords, complete financial databases or unnecessary sensitive information. Correspondence is deleted once the matter is complete unless required for a contract, legal claims or statutory retention obligations; legal retention is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Licensing
To prepare quotations and issue licences we process contact and invoice data, product and update-period choices and, where needed, person names, user identifiers, device IDs, database IDs, licence IDs and revisions. These support contractual delivery and technical assignment of rights (Article 6(1)(b)), statutory obligations (Article 6(1)(c)) and prevention of licence abuse (Article 6(1)(f)). Required identifiers must be supplied to issue a bound licence. For multiple people, provide their details only if authorised. Financial transactions and travel contents are not needed for registration.
Contract and licence records are retained as required to administer the granted rights, comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
Update and licence-status requests
The applications can retrieve update information and signed licence revocation lists. These requests generate technical access data as described above; financial databases are not uploaded for these file requests. Matching of downloaded licence IDs happens locally. Published revocation lists contain technical licence IDs rather than names or email addresses. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f), depending on the contractual context. The application help describes local storage and available settings.
Recipients
Hosting providers include IONOS for wernerr.de, downloads and email, and Cloudflare for meinfinanzverwalter.de. Cloudflare and international transfers are described in the hosting section above.

No third-party checkout or online payment service is embedded in the current licensing pages.
Appearance, cookies and links
Appearance preferences are stored separately for wernerr.de and meinfinanzverwalter.de and are not automatically shared between domains. Following a download link from meinfinanzverwalter.de to wernerr.de retrieves the file from IONOS and generates the technical access data described above.
“Remember appearance” lets you use the same light or dark appearance on our pages and on later visits. Only when you choose “Light” or “Dark” is the value light or dark saved in your browser’s Local Storage under the key wernerr-theme. No entry is created on your first visit. Choosing “System” deletes an existing entry; appearance then follows your system without a saved preference.
The entry contains no user identifier, timestamp or history. It is used only locally for the same website in the same browser profile, is not sent to the server by our code and is not used for advertising or usage analysis. No cookies are set for this function. Remembering your chosen appearance is the function you expressly request; this local storage is used under section 25(2), no. 2 TDDDG. To the extent personal data are processed, the basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is providing the appearance you expressly selected.
The entry has no automatic expiry. It remains until you choose “System”, clear website data or your browser removes it. You can remove it by either of the first two methods at any time. If your browser blocks storage, the website remains usable; a manual choice then applies only to the current page.
The website code we provide sets no cookies and uses no analytics or marketing tracking, Google Analytics or externally loaded webfonts. Fonts come from your device. There is no website account or registration form; licensing enquiries are sent by email. Ordinary external links connect to the linked provider when followed. Old automatically loaded advertising banners and scripts have been removed from the revised archive pages.
Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability. You can withdraw consent for future processing without affecting earlier lawful processing. You can object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) for reasons relating to your particular situation; processing then stops unless overriding grounds permitted by law apply. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. There are no decisions based solely on automated processing within Article 22 GDPR that produce legal or similarly significant effects; local technical licence checks do not replace handling of a justified complaint.
